Antoine Abiyounes

Cedar Ventures’ representative in the Middle East, based in Beirut

He is currently one of the founding partners of SteriTech Holding/Offshore/Lebanon SARL, a manufacturer and distributor of a complete line of sterilants and disinfectants for the medical, dental, veterinarian, hospitality, and home markets.

Antoine’s background in both micro- and macro-economics, combined with his extensive knowledge of the geopolitics of the MENA region and his extensive networking channels is an asset to any client. While based in Beirut, he travels throughout the MENA region. His prior experience includes: Owner and President of Southern Investment Mortgage in Atlanta, Georgia (2001- 2008); Partner and Vice President of Finance for Atlantic Aviation Services in France (1996- 2001); Owner and President of Cosmopolitan Trading, Inc. with three showrooms in the Atlanta Apparel Mart (1986-1996). From 1979 to 1985 Antoine worked in the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (“KSA”). During his time in the KSA he presided over AA Turkie Corp., a construction and waterproofing distributor that included products from Catnic, Rust-Oleum, and Dow Corning.

He returned to the United States during this period to earn an MBA degree from the University of Toledo in 1980. He is fluent in Arabic, French, and English




Ned Bassil is a management and strategic consultant for companies and has a record of driving growth, improving profitability and turning around under performing operations. He has global business experience in the USA, Europe, Mexico, the Middle East and the Far East. He is fluent in English, French, Arabic and Spanish. 

He was most recenlty Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Officer of BlueLinx Holdings, Atlanta, GA., where he had responsibility for $1.2 billion in P&L encompassing Planning, Global Sourcing, Transportation and Distribution. Prior to BlueLinx, he was a Senior Partner for Bahou Heritage, in Baltimore, MD and in Lebanon where he advised private wealth clients on private placements, strategy and operations. Prior to Bahou Heritage, Mr. Bassil was a CEO of Azadea Group Holdings in Beirut, which specialized in Real Estate, Home Furnishings, Electronics, Food & Beverage and Fashion. Mr. Bassil has also been an operational officer with Black and Decker, Baltimore, MD.; with Royal Philips Electronics; with Allied Signal Inc., and with First Energy, Akron, Ohio. Mr. Bassil has an MBA in Finance from Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, and an M.S. and a B.S. in Engineering from Youngstown State University. He is a former member of the U.S. Olympic Team (Karate), 2nd Degree Black Belt and was the USA Karate National Champion in 1986. 



Tanya Rahall  is Managing Director of RTK Consulting Group LLC in Washington D.C. Ms. Rahall specializes in public and government relations primarily for energy related companies, domestic organizations and foreign government and business interests. She has extensive experience with the U.S. Congressional legislative process and particular expertise with the Congressional authorization and appropriation process.

Ms. Rahall has served as the public and government relations consultant for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Embassy of the State of Qatar. She has also served as the consulting Public Relations Director for the Ministry of Information for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, an Advisor to the Saudi Arabia Committee on International Trade and as a Consultant to the "Friends of Saudi Arabia". Restaurant Holdings, one of the most successful international real estate development operations in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East has also retained the services of Ms. Rahall for communications work.

Ms. Rahall has been an occasional guest of the White House, most significantly for meetings in the Oval office with Arab-American leaders; a State Dinner for His Excellancy then Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Barak, a State Dinner honoring His Majesty the former King Hussein of Jordan and two historic occasions for the signing of the Israeli-Arab Peace Accords.



Fadlo R. Khuri, MD
Deputy Director of Emory Winship Cancer Institute





Khuri, a Georgia Cancer Coalition Distinguished Scholar, is chairman of Emory's Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology. Khuri also holds the Roberto C. Goizueta Distinguished Chair for Cancer Research and is professor of otolaryngology, medicine and pharmacology. He serves as director of the Emory Winship's scientific program known as Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics. Khuri's research interests include development of molecular, prognostic, therapeutic and chemopreventive approaches to improve the standard of care for patients with tobacco-related cancers. His research team is investigating how to inhibit cellular signal transduction in lung and head and neck cancers. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2006 Naji Sahyoun Memorial Award from the Middle East Medical Assembly. He was inducted into the American Society for Clinical Investigation and is listed among America's Top Doctors and the Marquis Who's Who in the World.

Khuri serves on the editorial boards of seven journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Clinical Cancer Research and Cancer, and has published more than 140 peer reviewed articles in elite journals including Nature Medicine, Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Cancer Research, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. He has been the recipient of continuous, competitive, peer-reviewed federal grant support from the National Cancer Institute, Department of Defense, and American Cancer Society. He serves as principal investigator, with Haian Fu, PhD, as co-principal investigator, of the NCI Program Project Grant "Targeting Cell Signaling in Lung Cancer to Enhance Therapeutic Efficacy," and as co-principal investigator, with Dong M. Shin, MD, of the Emory Head and Neck Cancer SPORE grant.

Khuri earned his bachelor's degree from Yale University, in New Haven, Conn., and his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, in New York, NY. He completed his residency in internal Medicine at the Boston City Hospital, Boston University School of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the New England Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology and is an active member of the American Association for Cancer Research, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He was on faculty at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center from 1995-2002 before joining Emory University.


Cynthia Kassouf




Ms. Kassouf is an advisor and prior consultant to Cedar Ventures, PMP, MS - Project Management Professional and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt with over 16 years experience in the Telecommunications sector including at AT&T, Ameritech in the US. She was Senior Account Executive, Motorola National Account, Chicago, IL, 1988-1992; Director, Corporate IT and Project Director, Compliance at CNA Financial Corporation. Ms. Kassouf has over 12 years of project management experience with multi-million dollar projects, process development, risk mitigation, and execution for results including while at CNA Financial Corporation. She also has experience in product development, pricing, and process development, creating new revenue opportunities and streamlining costs. She is a member of the Project Management Institute, an associate member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the American Quality Institute.

Ms. Kassouf has a B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University, a Master of Science in Management from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey and a Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University/ESI, Georgetown, VA. Ms. Kassouf has assisted Cedar Ventures with an overseas telecommunications project but is currently working on a long term consulting assignment at a financial institution.

Pamela R. Levy, CFA, CFP

Ms. Levy is an advisor  to Cedar Ventures and is available to assist Cedar Ventures clients with structured debt transactions.  She has provided Cedar with on the ground, investment banking contacts in China for purposes of sourcing capital, including EB5. Ms. Levy is a seasoned corporate finance and banking professional with nearly three decades of experience. She spent 17 years with Bank of America Merrill Lynch and its predecessors Banc of America Securities LLC and NationsBank, NA. Prior to that, Ms. Levy spent 9 years at Chase Manhattan Bank in Corporate and Investment Banking. Her last banking assignment was Team Leader and Managing Director of Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Healthcare Leveraged Finance Group. She has structured and executed over $45 billion worth of syndicated loans and fixed income offerings including HCA's 2006 LBO with private equity sponsors KKR, Bain Capital and Merrill Lynch. She is a graduate with honors from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs with a Masters degree in International Finance and Banking. She graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Ms. Levy lives in South Carolina.
