Arbitration & Mediation

Ms. Kassouf is uniquely positioned to offer arbitration and mediation services.

She is certified in Georgia as an Arbitrator and Mediator having completed the required training via Henning Mediation and Arbitration, Atlanta, GA. (35 hours) and also completed the ABA Annual Arbitration Training Institute in Chicago, in 2022 (9.5 hours). 

She has been trained and has practiced as an independent arbitrator for FINRA since 2017 and has made awards involving complex matters such as deferred compensation plans, employee loan repayment obligations, expungement and has participated in over 60 hearings as a neutral. (She served with FINRA neutral Chairs Barbara Black, Esq.  and Jim Hoover, Esq.) In 2021, she also advised a law firm in preparing for an arbitration matter involving their medical small cap company client. 

She is a member of the American Bar Association and its Dispute Resolution Section and the Atlanta International Arbitration Society. 

She has passed both the Texas (#11106070) and New York bar (#1778901).

She has had experience in drafting and executing investment and broker legal agreements while working for a Texas insurance entity, under the review of the General Counsel of such insurance entity.  

She has practiced as a securities lawyer at Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander & Ferdon, NYC, where she worked on public debt and equity offerings and generated 2 clients.

She has a wealth of business experience upon which to draw that includes:

  • Owner of niche investment bank specializing in commercial real estate transactions in the areas of Senior Housing, Student Housing, Multi-Family Housing, Infrastructure and Charter Schools. (Atlanta, GA.)
  • Experience in sales of healthcare operating companies in the hospice, HMO, surgery center and behavioral sectors.
  • Experience as an investor in early stage healthcare companies.
  • Experience as a healthcare investment banker for the Texas subsidiary of major New York financial institution: $1 billion of bond transactions for not-for-profit hospitals, 2 Leverage Buy Outs involving for profit hospital management companies. (Houston, Texas).
  • Experience in resolving disputes among parties in transactions spanning her career.
